Wandering around Chinatown in Incheon, South Korea

Incheon is a city located approximately one hour west of Seoul in South Korea. It is the landing port for passenger ships arriving from and departing to China.

In order to encourage visitors to stay a while longer (instead of rushing to the South Korean capital), the Korean government decided to inject life back into the area and revitalize Chinatown with colorful décor, large family restaurants, shops, temples and so much more.

At first sight you really are transported back to that country since signs have Chinese characters, traditional music is heard, the language is spoken, food is calling your name and you forget momentarily that you are still in Korean territory.

Let me take you on a visual tour through the winding roads and hills of the city. Let’s go Wandering around Chinatown in Incheon, South Korea 🙂

The port city of Incheon is a gateway to South Korea. Many visitors come from Mainland China via ferry, thus they have built a thriving Chinatown in the city. Come along and explore!
