Toronto is quite a large city. You simply cannot see or do it all in one day!
It takes at least a couple of days to enjoy the sights.
Luckily, going from one place to the other is pretty easy. The transportation system, TTC , is very quick and efficient.
The best thing to do is to buy a day pass which will cost you $10,50 for unlimited travel from the time of purchase until 5:30 a.m the following day.
I took advantage of it to cover a great distance in part 1.
However, the best way to see a town is on foot and that’s exactly what I did the following day.
My first stop?
The University of Toronto
St. George Campus has some beautiful historic buildings
I could have easily spent an entire day there but there was more, so much more to see and do!
Bloor/Yorkville, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods, is just across the street.
Luxury stores, boutiques, galleries and company headquarters are located in this area.
Exclusive restaurants as well.
There’s one thing you MUST see and do when in town: visit the Toronto Islands.
It’s only a ferry ride away from Toronto’s Ferry Docks at Queen’s Quay.
How can you not love it when you have this in your backyard 🙂
a gorgeous sunset over Lake Ontario on the way back to the city.
I truly had a great time during the week-end and can’t wait to return!
What caught your attention?
Let me know.
