Touring Boston Part 2

Boston, Massachusetts, USA, New England, photography, travel, TS76

Boston has beautiful and historic neighborhoods that can be reached very easily thanks to its efficient and timely transportation system, the T and by foot.

During my second day in the city, I decided to go out and explore. The rain was certainly NOT going to stop me from having a good time!

Come along as I show you this great city through pics 😉

First stop? The oldest and one of the best universities in the world, Harvard University.

Walking on campus is such a great feeling. The most brilliant minds come here for a reason and you can feel it. It makes anyone dream big or aim higher! Sky’s the limit.

Next up on the itinerary: Charlestown.

In Boston there is a 4 km (2.5 mile) trail, painted in red on the sidewalk, that takes you to important historic sites that played a vital role in the American Revolution. It is called the Freedom Trail.

It starts at Bunker Hill monument in Charlestown.

I was up for a challenge that day, so I crossed Charlestown bridge by foot!

Getting lost in the streets and alleys is the best way to get to know a neighborhood.

After wandering through the streets, you finally reach the Bunker Hill monument where the first major battle for freedom took place in 1775.

It was really interesting to learn more about the history of the country I was visiting.

Thank you to all those soldiers who fought and so many gave their lives to give us one of the best gifts we enjoy today: Freedom.

What does it mean to you?

I hope you enjoyed my little tour.

North End, Little Italy (including the best cannoli I’ve ever tasted in my life) and Downtown will be next!

Til next time.

L♥ve always,

Kay 🙂
