Playa Blanca in Punta Leona, Puntarenas is one of the most beautiful white sand beaches I visited in Costa Rica.

Located in the Central Pacific Region, it is about 20 minutes away from Jaco a great town for surfers and 2 hours from the capital, San José (depending on traffic).

The trip is itself is quite an adventure as you go down the winding roads.

You feel as if you’re on a roller coaster ride, so buckle up!

However, the views along the way are impressive 🙂

Punta Leona Hotel & Club is the perfect place to start exploring the area.

You can go surfing, sailing, sea kayaking, snorkel or simply relax and soak up some natural vitamin D.

I went for a leisurely stroll, feeling the sand between my toes and waves on my feet!
