Karla…I read your bio (http://ow.ly/5nHJc) and it was great! You’ve lived in sooo many places. I love traveling, but sometimes it’s great to just come home and settle back into my normal life. Cool that you’re going to study Applied Linguistics…I’m a Speech Language Pathologist. Seems like we have a lot in common…besides Shakira and spa-ing 🙂
Thanks so much for your kind words Sarah. Yeah I am totally a gitana as Shakira says & Ive been bitten by the travel bug. I honestly don’t think I want to be cured from it. It’s just too good. However, I must admit coming back home to rest for a little bit and recover from my adventures before heading out again & live new experiences 😉
Languages is just a second nature, that’s what I’ve been studying all my life & and its only natural that I pursue that. Its one of my passions in life, besides travelling, photography & teaching.
Let’s dance the waka waka anywhere cause we shake what our mama’s gave us lol
Its a pleasure meeting you & hope to get to know you better.
Love always,
Me 😉

Great blog! 🙂
Thank you!
Karla, Thanks for stopping by TravelByTerry so frequently. I am glad you enjoyed the three part series on Hotel El Ganzo in Los Cabos. As you can no doubt tell, I was quite impressed with the place myself. I promise to repay your kindness by following your blog a little more closely in the future. Warmest regards, Terry
My pleasure Terry!

Great!
Thank you for the info 😉
Hello. great pictures you got.
Thank you!
Very impressive to speak so many languages. Congratulations. In Finland we have to learn many languages. For example I learned English, French, German and Swedish in addition to Finnish. Now “hundreds” of years later I can speak from those languages only English and French. Other languages, I can understand, but to speak properly and exchange for opinions – no way.
Life has learned to me more languages like Spanish and Portuguese. That’s why I make my posts since one year in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
Many thanks!
You too are a polyglot from what I read on your blog posts! Very good idea that you translate them into a few languages, you can reach more readers around the world!
Keep up the great work (how do you say that in Finnish? 🙂
Thank you for your compliments!
Yes it is fun to travel and receive some rewards but always focus on truly bringing value to your readers as they are the ones who will be there to support you along the way.
You create your own opportunities and don’t ever compare yourself to anyone else as we all have our own set of skills and talents.
I wish you all the best of luck in all your travels and keep pressing forward!
K
Thanks so much for following Oh, the Places We See! It’s great to meet someone who has traveled as much as you have and who still wants to see more. Best wishes for making 2016 a great year for doing something new.
I am thinking about going on a mission trip with my church group later this year…We will be partnering with Living Water International to drill a well for a village and teach about clean water hygiene. I will be going with about 10 other Americans. Do you think we will be safe? I saw where El Salvador has the highest crime /murder rate than any other country in the world…We will be staying with this group Living Water International! Just wondered what your thoughts were !
Thank you for your message Susan.
What a great idea it is for you and your group to drill a well for people who truly need it and will help make their lives a little easier!
I do understand your concern, especially after all the warnings and that environment which seems uncertain and far from being the safest in the world.
However I can tell you that is not any safer in the states where there are deranged persons and some unstable individuals.
El Salvador has gotten so much bad rep for decades but yet there are tons of foreign visitors who go there every year!
I can tell you that going there with all your bases covered (life + travel insurance), asking help from local authorities and go with a positive attitude will make all the difference.
I would certainly go in a heart beat and know that things are going to go great.
One major mistake foreigners often make is to show how well off they are and what they bring and make others feel as if they are royalty or superiors which gives people of the same country a bad name, sad but true.
I know that people need you and they will be forever grateful.
I firmly believe that when you put your faith in the almighty and trust him with your life, things are going to be even better than you originally thought.
However if you opt to go elsewhere, then i believe it is your right to do so.
There are important lessons to learn and it truly doesn’t matter where that is.
I sincerely wish you the best of luck!
K
Thank you so much! This helps tremendously!
