Barbados is very easy to reach either by plane or boat. All flights arrive at Barbados Grantley Adams Airport, which is located approximately 30-45 minutes from the capital, Bridgetown.

The best way to get to the city is to rent a car that will allow you to travel around the island at any moment without having to depend on anyone or any other vehicle.

Keep in mind that the driving is on the left, as it is based on the UK driving system. In addition, you will have to share the road with the pedestrians since there are no sidewalks and pay attention to motorbikes!

The only requirement is to obtain a local license upon presentation of a valid international driver’s license. The rental car company will help you with this procedure.

Public transportation is also available from 6 a.m. to midnight. It is the most affordable since any trip around the island costs only a few Barbadian dollars. As in any foreign country, precautions must be taken but if you are adventurous, just go out there!
