So what is there to see and do in Sydney?

Here are some suggestions:

Shopping

The cosmopolitan city really is great place to shop. It has drawn some of the world’s biggest fashion brands.  You can find everything from local vintage markets to the latest in high fashion boutiques!

Westfield Sydney is not to be missed. It hosts a great variety of shopping opportunities.

Make sure to check out Elizabeth and King Street as well as the shopping precinct at Oxford Street.

They all offer a variety of independent and famous brand name shops as well as a host of bars, cafés and restaurants. There you can take a break from retail therapy 🙂

Music and Art

Sydney is very well-known as a cultural hub offering some of the best music and art exhibitions in the whole country.

Make time to check out the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia at Circular Quay. It is huge gallery hosting various spaces as well as a sculpture terrace and a rooftop café.

If you’re looking for something a bit different then head over to White Rabbit, based in Chippendale. It houses some of the finest 21st Century Chinese art.

Outdoors

One of the best ways to truly appreciate the city from a distance is to take a cruise down the serene Parramatta River.

You’ll be able to soak up the breathtaking sights of Sydney Harbour and bridge as well as the world-famous landmark Sydney Opera House which is an architectural masterpiece that will remain in your mind, heart and soul  forever.

If you’re feeling hungry and need to refuel, there are plenty of restaurant options around the harbor. You can also head down to Sydney Fish Market to inspire your next meal.

Feeling adventurous and want to spend more time outside? Why not check out Sydney Harbour National Park?

With small islands, coastal walks and bush land, this is an opportunity to see plenty of local wildlife. The fantastic views across the beautiful harbour are well worth the journey in itself.

Nightlife

If music is more your thing, then head over to the Camelot Lounge, one of Sydney’s best known music venues. There’s something for everyone here from Jazz to Cabaret as well as a variety of great food and drinks!
