“It is not the beauty of a building you should look at;
it’s the construction of the foundation that will stand the test of time.”
David Allan Coe
Going on a tour of a city through its architecture? It sure is possible! Sometimes you don’t even have to travel far to find architectural gems. You certainly have some right in your own backyard and they are just about everywhere you look. However, due to our fast paced-life, we often take them for granted or consider them as normal and some even insignificant.
I was recently going through my photo archives and I found a folder of photos taken of impressive and striking buildings found right here in my own city. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that we actually have numerous structures and outstanding landmarks that no other city in the world has! There is an interesting mixture of old and new, historic and modern. It’s a true feast for the eyes.
As incredible as it may seem, you can travel to the past, enjoy the present and foresee the future all in one place!
So I invite you to come join me and Discover Montreal through its architecture.
Enjoy the photographic tour!

I loved walking through Montreal!! It’s really modern and well mixed with old buildings. Here you are my favourite building in my city, Madrid. It’s not in the city but outskirts: http://myfavouriteviews.wordpress.com/2014/07/15/i-madrid-mi-ciudad-my-city-meine-stadt/
Yes it is a very lovely place to stroll around and admire those great buildings!
