Adventurous Blogger Award

adventurous blogger award

We are in the middle of awards season, so I decided to catch up with some of the awards I was nominated for (since last year 😦 ) and happily accept them.

This time I would like to thank Canoe Communications for nominating me for the Adventurous Blogger Award.

It truly makes me happy to know that my adventures and photos are appreciated and perhaps have inspired some people to get out there and explore our planet!

Part of the award process is to tell you some things about myself and to nominate other bloggers.  It’s hard for me to nominate just a few, because there are so many entertaining, educating and fun travel blogs out in the blogosphere & also within the WordPress community (which I love).

We are all here to support each other, grow together and who knows, maybe our paths may cross 😉

Feel free to participate. If you’re not interested, no worries.

I will still read your blogs and cheer you on from wherever I may be!

Here are my answers to the questions

In which country or region would you like your next adventure to be?

South Western USA: Texas, Arizona and New Mexico.

My good friend & colleague in South Korea is moving back to the States later this spring and will settle in Texas. So I have been invited to go of course.

While I’m there I want to go visit Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio among others. My interest in those cities has grown a lot more since I took a few tourism modules from The Texas Tourism Bureau.

I’ve always dreamed of going to Sedona, Arizona since it is a highly spiritual place and heard a lot about the vortex.  It’s a powerful energy center and I simply cannot wait to experience it.

As for New Mexico, well it is quite an alluring state. I love their slogan “True adventures” 🙂

From Albuquerque to Santa Fe to Taos to White Sands National Monument, there are definitely lots to choose from!

If I’m lucky, I’d love to end my trip in Colorado. I am drawn to Boulder for some reason.

We’ll let time make things happen 🙂

If I’m dreaming big:

I would love to go on a cruise through the Greek Islands, Croatia and my ultimate destination is definitely French Polynesia (Bora Bora).

They are all spectacular!

Where would you recommend for an adventurous time?

Anywhere you go there are different outdoor activities. If you are bold, courageous and want an adrenaline rush, try zip lining, hiking, and visit a national park or a volcano.

My best eco adventures have been in Central America (Costa Rica, El Salvador and Guatemala)

Most interesting culture:

Every single culture is different and interesting!

I have lived in 6 countries (Australia, Canada, El Salvador, Italy, South Korea and The U.S.A) and learned so much from each one of them.

We must appreciate our own and accept others just as they are!

Favorite activity:

Believe it or not, I always go to the highest point of the city so that I can get a great view.

I can name a few of them:

  • Mont-Royal here at home in Montreal
  • Mt-Coot-Tha in Brisbane, Australia
  • Victoria Peak in Hong Kong
  • El Tibidado in Barcelona, Spain
  • Basilique du Sacré-Cœur in Paris, France

Most dangerous risk taken:

Living alone at the other side of the world (South Korea) for 2 years and by far it is the best experience I’ve ever lived!

Favorite travel quote:

Life is a either a daring adventure or nothing – Helen Keller

Happiness is:

Doing what you love and love what to do!

Here are my 6 nominees

I invite you to create a post, include photos if you wish and once it’s published, don’t forget to let me know via twitter: travellersoul76 I will gladly Retweet it.

Do your best. I realize I’m kind of late but as they say it’s better late than never 🙂
