Weekly Photo Challenge: Doors

Be an opener of doors.

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Be an opener of doors, What a great quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I’ve something to confess. I probably never told you this before but I love doors. No, I don’t love them, I am OBSESSED with them!

I simply can’t remember when this actually started but in the past few years I have amassed a secret collection of photos that I’ve seen at home and during my many travels and adventures around the world.

They simply make me stop and say wow, it’s as if they are drawing me in like a magnet. I come to a full stop before those who just stand out and beg to be photographed.

During my last European adventure, I had the great pleasure of coming across several of them which I must say left me speechless and of course I was more than happy to capture them! From wood to metal, big or small, it was a delight for my photographic eye 🙂

It’s amazing how some people really have an eye for details and make the entry to their home, office or building completely different and unique!

Allow me to share with you 30 of the most beautiful doors I saw in Germany, Austria and Hungary. Enjoy!

Are you a fan of doors? Here are 30 of the most beautiful doors I found in Europe. Enjoy! #photography #doors #doorphotography #travel

  1. You have an awesome collection !!! I love doors too .. but doors me and camera never seem to be together :… or when we are battery has gone to sleep 😦 I have a few though that I should try to pull out.
    Truly enjoyed these.

    • Thank you.

I am happy you liked them!

Well, you should always carry an extra battery or make sure you fully charge it at night prior to using it during the day.

Nowadays I carry a Power Bank with me so that I don’t run out because I am a serial picture taker as you can see 😉

Yes, look for them, pull them out and include them in a post. Would love to see!

      Thanks for stopping by!
