I’m super excited because in just a few days I will be attending my 1st travel conference: TBEX (Travel Blog Exchange) which will be held on June 1st and 2nd right here at home in Canada and in a city I love: Toronto!
What am I looking forward to?
Meetings
I can’t wait to meet a group of fellow bloggers I have been chatting with over the past weeks and months as well as new people who love to travel!
Most importantly, we’re all going there to learn as much as we can from all the amazing speakers that will share their valuable knowledge and expertise! That alone is well worth the trip to the Queen City.
Pre-TBEX trips
I will kick off my Canadian road trip on May 29th as I travel from Montreal to Toronto.
Then onward to Niagara Falls.
Next is Niagara-On-The-Lake to sample some local wine. Yes, I know it’s a tough job right? Someone has to do it 🙂
Back in T.O
Since I lived & worked in Toronto for two years, I know it pretty well. So I offered some blogger friends (who have never visited the city) to be their personal tour guide.
They will be able to choose between from the Top 5 places to visit in T.O and my suggestions found in 48 hours in Toronto Part 1 & Part 2.
I am afraid of wearing them out since there is so much to see and do but so little time!
Entertainment
The conference will be quite intense during the week-end, so we will try to relax and unwind at a lovely café, eat a nice meal at a great restaurant and definitely celebrate with drinks at a great rooftop bar like the one at Thompson Toronto.
Main Objective
Time has finally come for me to move forward and upward with my blog. What initially started as diary for my family and friends (while I was living and working in South Korea) has now become a site viewed in over 100 countries!
None of this would be possible without you! So THANK YOU, MERCI, GRACIAS for your continuous support!
It makes me very happy that you read my travel tales and like my photography.
I’m really eager to learn how to become a better writer and photographer so that I can keep you interested, amused and entertained while taking you along on my adventures around the world.
I also look forward to meeting the movers and shakers of the travel industry and let them know that I can help promote their destinations in a few languages and take great photos of course!
A Tourism Bureau from Europe has contacted me and will meet them in person, so I feel quite blessed to have been selected. More news to come.
Post-TBEX
After the conference, a group of bloggers and I will go to Prince Edward County, to visit some wineries in the area (see the training in Niagara-On-The-Lake will be useful 😉
We will then tour the city Kingston which is the gateway to the 1000 islands.
And what better way to end the trip than going on a sunset cruise aboard the Island Star.
As you can see, the coming days and weeks before, during and after TBEX will be action packed.
It promises indeed to be one great adventure after another!
Are you ready to come along for the ride? 🙂
See you soon!
Yay! See you 😉
Sounds awesome! Can’t wait to hear about all of it, especially what you learn at TBEX!
It’ll be awesome I am sure. I will update you and share info 😉
Good stuff. Right there with you on the anticipation. It will be a busy but fun time.
Thank you! Oh it’s so exciting indeed.
We’ll all finally meet in person and have a great time in one of the greatest cities in the world 😉
See you soon!
Tweeting in different languages – now that’s something. I’m fluent in gobbledygook and waffle if they count?
They sure do 😉
Super excited too! Sounds like you have a jam packed session planned! Glad to be finally meeting in person – can’t wait!
It will be intense but so much fun! Can’t wait to meet you there 😉
Sounds like a great conference. I just got back from a road trip to Iowa to visit a good friend of mine that I met in South Korea. Thanks for the information.
It sure promises to be tons of fun!
You’re always welcome to join us 😉
Where in Ontario do you live?
Thank you for stopping by 😉
I am so jealous! Sounds very exciting. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like I’ll make it to TBEX this year. But I have it on my calendar for next year!
Yes it’s going to be awesome!
Well no worries, you can always join later! I’ll report live & will post plenty of pics 😉
Have fun on the pre- and post-TBEX trips! I was too busy with my upcoming RTW trek immediately after TBEX to have the time for any of those exciting extras….make sure to have an extra blast of fun on my behalf 😉
OMG yeah your RTW will be EPIC!
Super happy for you! High 5.
Yes, I will have tons of fun, drink a glass of wine or 2 or 3 on your behalf.
See you in Toronto pretty soon!

I love Kingston!! I lived there for four years in university – it’s such a lovely small city! I hope you have a great time there!
Ah you did? So cool! I’ve only stopped over on my way to Toronto or back to Montreal so that doesn’t really count right?
I can’t wait, especially Prince Edward County to sample local wines weee 😉
