The Earth without Art would just be Eh
I believe it is no secret by now that I am an avid art lover, in all its forms. Whether it is street art, exhibitions, paintings or collections, I sure love to take a break to admire, analyze or interpret it and of course capture it with my lens.
I always make sure to include a visit to a museum or gallery no matter where in the world I find myself in.
Last time I was in Southwest Florida, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that among the activities on our menu, we were going to be stopping at a local art gallery and studio. I was very much looking forward to our visit but nothing prepared me for the lovely surprise that was waiting for us!
Located in Placida, Florida, a spectacular tropical location which faces Gasparilla sound and surrounded by swaying palm trees, boats, lush green gardens & vibrant flowers, The Margaret Albritton Gallery is one of a kind.
It makes you forget that you are actually in Florida. It feels as if you’re in a different world, on a laid-back island in the Caribbean…
Or perhaps in another world? 🙂
Oh yes, there are a couple of great places where you can go after your visit. Just a nice reminder!
Life certainly runs at a different pace here. No rush, just take time to live in the moment and truly enjoy life! Kick back and relax if you wish.
The following left me speechless, it’s simply amazing!
If the exterior is already impressive, what can be possibly found indoors?
As soon as you reach the entrance, you know that you’re about to live an unforgettable visual experience!
Gary and Margaret Albritton are not only own a restaurant, they are also talented and very creative artists.
The gallery and studio allow you to feel like kid in a candy store! There is so much to see that you don’t even know where to start looking or in which direction. You will find a great variety of tropical art, home décor, beach themed articles, original cards, paintings, frames, t-shirts and so much more. Their work is definitely colorful, fun and unique 🙂
Allow me to take you on a tour of the gallery!
As you know by now, I tend to be restless and have that adventurous spirit that takes over sometimes 🙂
After speaking for a few minutes with Margaret and congratulating her on her amazing store, I stepped outside and explored a bit.
I couldn’t help but capture these beauties on my way…
Life sure is good in Florida 🙂
So many places, so little time 😦
I was only able to go for a short stroll before someone came to find me. It was time to leave 😦
Exploring and going where your inner GPS (your heart) leads you is great because you get to see and experience things you’d otherwise miss! I’m so glad I did follow the hunch 🙂
Feeling the light breeze, the warm sun and looking up to give thanks is something I sure will never forget!
I hope you enjoyed the tour of The Margaret Albritton Gallery!
If you are ever in Southwest Florida, and if you are an art lover of course, stop by, you will have a great time like we did!
